The Job

NATS is recruiting for a Senior Technical Trainer to provide training and expertise in the delivery if NATS Technical training course, specifically within communications training.

The candidate may be looking to change from an experienced delivery role to deliver their skills and knowledge to aspiring ATC engineers.

The candidate will be joining an enthusiastic multi-disciplined team, working in a dynamic environment and will gain experience of the ATC world.

Responsibilities:

Liaising with customers/stakeholders to develop and agree training solutions.

Organise and undertake the development and delivery of technical training courses, both existing and new, to achieve the aims and objectives of the course.

Responsible and accountable for the design and development of training solutions and materials to meet the full range of learning styles

Conduct training needs analysis, produce training plans and develop course specifications to meet customer requirements Assist in preparation and amendment of the course programme.

Assess technical, instructional and development needs and act as mentor to team members

Provide specialist training consultancy to internal and external customers.

Requirements:

Professional Engineering/IT qualifications to degree or equivalent in Engineering, Science, IT or Numerate discipline with experience in a training environment

Minimum 5 years experience maintaining and operating Commercial PBX equipment with understanding of Voice Protocols such as DPNSS, QSIG and VoIP

Knowledge and experience of IP Networks.

Experience of delivering formal training in a classroom and operational environment

It would be advantageous to have experience of maintaining Air Traffic data processing systems; knowledge and experience operating Linux/Unix O/S and knowledge and understanding of ITIL.
