You will be responsible for planning and teaching the Functional Skills curriculum, as well as differentiation, and will be required to ensure work is marked, recorded, and assessment is on-going, ensuring all learners are ready for examinations.
Your delivery will be creative and engaging to ensure individuals achieve their aims in all subjects. You will be supported by the SME for Functional Skills and Employability who is responsible for leading the team to drive up quality, reaching and exceeding KPI's and promoting our ethos for continuous improvement.
*Evaluating BKSB Initial Assessments and Diagnostics results.
*Developing realistic and effective strategies toward realising achievement outcomes.
* Providing goal-oriented guidance and steps to success, as well as encouraging active participation.
* Facilitating follow-up sessions and integrating feedback.
* Encouraging learners by recognising milestones and mitigating challenges that hinder progress.
* Deliver online training in small groups or on an individual basis.
* Maintain reports and performance figures.
* Ensuring that learners complete their learning in a timely fashion.
* Ability to monitor progress and mitigate factors hindering progress.
* Excellent recordkeeping, interpersonal, and communication skills.
* Experience of delivering tutorial sessions to groups of learners
So that's Firebrand and the role but what's it really like to work here?
We're a global business Our head office is in London and we have offices and training centres in Europe. Our business language is English but the Firebrand team (some of whom work flexibly and remotely) together with our clients is a diverse group.
Regardless of where you're based, you will have all the tools you need to carry out your role. You'll also have a 'buddy' to help you settle in and answer any questions before you join and during your first few weeks.
Day to day communication between the teams and regions is easy… as well as regular face to face contact and meetings, you'll also get to 'see' colleagues through regular Skype calls and 'hear' what everyone has to say across the various Yammer groups. We want your thoughts and feedback too so you'll be encouraged to be an active part of the groups you're a member of.
