Introduction

Our client, a leading manufacturer of power & electrical equipment, is seeking a Technical Sales professional to join their team in Southampton. With over 40 years of industry experience, our client supplies a diverse range of customers, ranging from property developers, F1 teams, film industry professionals, to music festivals.

Job Description

As a Technical Sales representative, you will play a crucial role in the Sales office, supporting customers and ensuring their requirements are met. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with obtaining estimates and quotes for material and parts
• Collaborating with others to establish timelines, budgets, and solve problems
• Liaising with customers on the trade counter, over the telephone, and via email
• Providing detailed quotations to customers
• Keeping up-to-date on industry and engineering standards
• Providing aftersales technical support to customers
• Working in a full-time position, Monday to Friday, with no evening, weekend, or bank holiday shifts

Key Skills

• Ability to read and accurately interpret electrical circuit diagrams, schematics, and general arrangements drawings when required
• Efficient at working to tight timescales while meeting customer requirements
• Ability to work as part of a growing team or independently without supervision
• Good knowledge of electrical systems and equipment, both single and three-phase
• Writes and speaks with ease
• Experience in sales and customer service

Salary

This is a permanent, full-time position with a starting salary of £35,000 per year (negotiable depending on experience).
