My client who are a leading manufacturing and engineering business is currently recruiting for a Senior Materials Controller / Materials Planner to join on a permanent basis.

The Senior Materials Controller / Materials Planner will be responsible for specific suppliers, working closely with manufacturing operations to drive improved delivery and inventory performance.

Essential to have MRP/ERP systems experience.

Role - Senior Materials Controller / Materials Planner

Type - Permanent position

Salary - £35,000 - £47,000 + Benefits

Location - Stevenage, Hertfordshire

Key skills required for Senior Materials Controller / Materials Planner job applicant and not limited to:

• Experience working in an MRP Planning background
• Experienced at working with a large ERP system, ideally SAP
• Results oriented with strong cultural awareness, excellent team working capabilities and able to drive key decisions through the supply base
• Experience of working with suppliers and scheduled orders/PO`s
• Ideally with experience of both working with suppliers as well as within a manufacturing environment with an ability to negotiate to meet deadlines
• Problem solving skills
• Understanding of how Bill of Material and master data work
