We have an amazing role for an experienced recruitment manager who is wanting to work mostly from home. Ideally you would have exeperience in public sector, educational or non medical NHS recruitment.

Recruitment Manager London Remote working
Up to £45,000k a year plus uncapped quarterly commission
About You - Are you an experienced and positive salesperson who thrives on meeting targets, is hungry to exceed them, and will consistently go the extra mile to meet the needs of our customers and to promote and adhere to our values?

The purpose of the role is to generate a consistent flow of revenue and repeat business through the delivery of a high quality service by:

  • Generating and maintaining relationships with Step Ahead employer clients through ongoing dialogue to understand their recruitment needs, to provide innovative and cost effective solutions and seek out further opportunities to develop existing business with those employers
  • Proactively seeking out and developing new business opportunities via business development calls and leads sourced via job searching sites, referrals, national press and media
  • Be directly responsible for meeting individual key performance targets on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Be directly responsible for meeting KPI targets to meet the performance related targets
  • Develop and monitor employer relationships as an account manager to ensure we continue to bring in revenue and provide an excellent customer service
  • Be able to sell Step Ahead's brand and services to generate new business and maximise on opportunities in existing business
  • Contribute to the strategic development of Step Ahead in the current job market economy, planning for contingencies and changes to ensure that Step Ahead remains at the forefront of excellence in recruitment practice
  • To successfully manage the recruitment team. To ensure that they are meeting their KPIs and their delivery is on high standards
  • Have an understanding of temp recruitment to make sure that there are no issues with bookings, holiday pay and AWR regulations across the division.

Primary Responsibilities:-

  • Business develop & maintain ongoing relationships with employers to ensure that Step Ahead becomes and remains the recruitment agency of choice
  • Fulfil existing contracts in a speedy efficient manner
  • Regularly & consistently develop the client/Step Ahead relationship to identify opportunities with all employers
  • Take, produce and communicate accurate client briefs for job role requirements
  • Write, produce and post quality job advertisements on Step Ahead and other websites to attract a flow of quality candidates within process guidelines
  • Perform job matching effectively to get the right candidates into the right job for that employer
  • Identify potential new clients through business development calls, internet searching and networking and develop these relationships to generate new business
  • Look creatively at existing business and identify the ways that this may be developed to increase profitability of the company.
  • Be able to sell Step Ahead's brand and various services to generate new business and maximise on cross-selling opportunities in existing business
  • Be able to identify client recruitment issues and problems and offer employers creative solutions to support them

Team Management

  • To motivate, coach and encourage high performance of the team and provide additional 1-2-1 support where appropriate
  • To hold monthly 1-2-1 business reviews with your direct line reports and weekly 1-2-1's where appropriate.
  • To manage any under-performance within your team in accordance with Step Ahead's standard policy and procedure and support individuals where appropriate
  • Manage any staff disciplinary or issues in accordance with Step Ahead's standard policy and procedures
  • To take part in the appraisal process for the Recruitment team consultants
  • Manage the recruitment of new staff for your team

Personal, Team and Company Responsibility

  • Proactively demonstrate and promote the Top Ten Customer Service Rules to all 'customers', internal and external
  • Comply with all Step Ahead processes and procedures to ensure that personal and team performance targets are, at a minimum, maintained but preferably exceeded
  • Identify factors that may affect performance and escalate to Director of Business Improvement & Quality and offer solutions
  • Participate in ongoing review of individual progress against KPI/targets
  • Take part in quality assurance activities
  • Escalate poor performance and practice to Director of Commercial Recruitment
  • Contribute recruitment expertise to the whole of the Step Ahead Team through attendance at meetings, provision of training opportunities, supporting new and less experienced staff and sharing of skills, expertise and experience
  • Contribute to the ongoing business of Step Ahead as required by the CEO
  • Contribute to Step Ahead business planning by working collaboratively with the management to review and develop systems and processes to maintain the performance of the company and develop potential areas for growth
  • Take part in the appraisal process and act in accordance with identified individual goals*
  • Seek opportunities to develop own skill and expertise
  • Support the development of other team members and take part in teaching and training events
  • Manage own time effectively through production of weekly job plan
  • Complete documentation in a timely manner
  • Actively apply problem solving and creative thinking to maximise on business development & team development opportunities
  • Undertake any other activities as directed by the management
