The majority of our Managers and Senior staff have developed their careers within HIT. By way of example, our Operations Director began his career in industry and has been a Trainer Assessor, Area and Regional Manager with us before being appointed to his current role. The same applies to all our Regional Operations Managers and most Sector Managers. Whenever there is an opportunity, we prefer to appoint from within before looking externally.

We have to be realistic though, and as a small company, we aren’t in a position to create promotion opportunities for every great member of staff who works for us. But what we are able to do is to give you the opportunity to progress laterally, taking on more and different levels and types of training to suit your strengths and expertise. With a competitive salary banding, this gives the opportunity for you to be stretched, challenged and progress in the role you love so that you feel a sense of achievement, without feeling pressured to move into another role.

When you come on board, you will have the opportunity to request development meetings with your Manager and these will help decide the direction of your work with us. This may include participation in development programmes to set you up for future opportunities, either within the Trainer role or, perhaps to move into management or the Quality team.
